TB bacterial Genome decoded by Indian Scientists

Today I got this news via friend of mine.

Mycobacterium tuberculosis the bacteria which causes TB is finally decoded by Indian scientists from CSIR. TB still being one of the deadliest diseases in India and in many third world countries. If I am not wrong this is first genome project completed by Indian scientists.

Anyway, this is a good news. Decoding this genome will definitely pave ways to new drugs to this deadly disease.
